Fall Installation

“Aparicion” By Pavel Acevedo

this video delineates the final stages of the woodcut printmaking process for the piece, "Aparicion" by Oaxacan printmaker Pavel Acevedo. In reflection, Pavel believes that nothing is wasted in the studio...sometimes accumulating test proofs becomes problematic, but there always is a purpose for them in the end. Breaking attachment and stepping away from the image can be challenging with prints continuing their life cycle in the studio or on the street, all are apart of the important belief of letting go.

Message from the Gallery

Due to the 2020 Pandemic, we had to close our gallery to the public temporarily. We're not comfortable having the public in a crowded space. We are working on future exhibitions and we're also in the middle of construction to make up for this unfortunate year. There's a lot of artists that are active around us and we'll be sharing their work regardless. We'll be focusing on public artwork and projects they're up to. Art is bigger than all galleries, we're just documenting what comes our way.

Chick Curtis is a local legend. His watercolor and oil paintings are recognizable from afar. We are lucky to share his multimedia monoprints for the spring. This is a solo show dedicated to that less renown medium. His attention to detail must be experienced in person. See you there!
